Antifragility. This concept was coined by the Lebanese philosopher and mathematician Nassim Nicholas Taleb in 2012 and denotes the ability of a system to change and improve in the face of external stressors, not in order to protect itself, but to adapt. In short, an "antifragile" system embraces the unexpected and uncertainty, and positively takes on the risk.
Antifragile companies are those that, faced with the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, not only managed to absorb the impact of the crisis, but even grew and evolved. The first wave of the pandemic was certainly a so-called "black swan", another concept coined by Taleb that defines improbable, unforeseen events with an incredibly significant impact.
As the worst of the second wave is about to hit Italy, Argo is today launching a series of articles on some actions companies can take to face the new economic context and meet the new challenges.
For example, at a time when companies are trying to win ever larger shares of their revenue through online sales, counterfeiting on the internet is a serious threat to brands.
Accordingly, the first in-depth article of the series, written by our partner Simone Bonamin, has been published on the blog of Payplug, the company offering the first payment solution designed specifically for SMEs, and you can find it at the following link: https://blog.payplug.com/it/come-proteggere-brand-dalla-contraffazione-online
