October 2019 October 2019 #### Participation in the WTO Public Forum Argo contributed to the panel “Building Trust in E-Commerce for the Next Generation”, presenting best practices for secure online transactions and consumer protection. July 2020 July 2020 #### IAPP CIPP/E certification Co-founder Fabio Cassanelli obtained the IAPP CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) certification, further strengthening Argo’s in-house expertise in privacy and GDPR compliance. December 2022 December 2022 #### Relocation to the new offices The company moved to Corso Re Umberto 12, Turin – a larger office space located in a historic building in the heart of the city. June 2023 June 2023 #### ISO/IEC 27001 certification Argo achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS), confirming the implementation of rigorous risk assessment and control processes. October 2024 October 2024 #### Acquisition of Weburl S.r.l. Through the acquisition of Weburl, Argo launched its domain registration and portfolio management services for online brand protection. January 2025 January 2025 #### AGCOM recognition The Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM) awarded Argo trusted flagger status under the Digital Services Act, granting it privileged access to report illegal content on digital platforms through priority channels. April 2026 April 2026 #### ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, 27017 and 27018 certifications Argo obtained ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system and ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security, extended to ISO/IEC 27017 (cloud services security) and ISO/IEC 27018 (personal data protection in the cloud). April 2026 April 2026 #### NIS2 essential entity Argo was classified as an essential entity under the NIS2 Directive and carries out the related activities towards the ACN, Italy’s National Cybersecurity Agency. ### Our founders ## Daniele BerardoIT & Digital Security Specialist Passionate about computer science, he moved from the province of Cuneo to Turin in 2001 to attend the Politecnico di Torino. While pursuing a master’s degree in computer engineering, with a specialization in Computer Graphics and Multimedia, he began working in the systems administration field, gaining hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments. In 2009, he took part in the Operational Master in Intellectual Property, where he was introduced to the world of patent and trademark protection. Active in the IT sector since 2008, he has developed a strong interest in digital security and software development. He is also a contributor to the online magazine Cybersecurity360. He has deepened his knowledge of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard in order to provide specialized consulting to companies seeking to design and implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS). He is a co-founder of Argo Business Solutions S.r.l., a Turin-based consulting firm specializing in cybersecurity, GDPR/privacy compliance, online brand protection and regulatory consulting (NIS2, DORA, CRA, ISO standards). Over the years he has built a broad certification portfolio, which includes: ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation (2018), ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Internal Auditor (BSI), DPO (IDCERT) and Sophos Certified Engineer. He is a licensed engineer, registered with the Order of Engineers of the Province of Turin (no. 15153). ## Fabio CassanelliGDPR Consultant and IP Expert Privacy consultant with CIPP/E international certification issued by the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals). The CIPP/E international certification demonstrates in-depth knowledge of pan-European and EU Member State data protection laws and regulations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in environmental, cultural, and territorial economics (EACT) from the Cognetti de Martiis Department of Economics and Statistics at the University of Turin. He is passionate about intellectual property, economics, law and EU finance. In addition to English and French, he has also studied the Chinese language. He teaches the course “Privacy for Freelance Translators” offered by STL Formazione. He serves as Treasurer of the Osare Europa Association and is editor and co-founder of Europae – European Affairs Magazine. He also hosts the podcast “Lo Stato dell’Unione”, produced by Piano P. He completed the CopyrightX course at Harvard Law School. ## Simone BonaminOnline Brand Protection Specialist Graduated with top honors in International Economics, with a thesis in Chinese Law focused on online trademark protection. Passionate about Chinese language and culture, he has spent extended periods in China to deepen his knowledge of Mandarin. With a strong interest in intellectual property and emerging technologies, he has developed in-depth expertise in the web ecosystem, particularly in relation to e-commerce and privacy-related issues.
